The ceiling

Five to ten guests, and ten is a real number

A group of five to ten at the same time. That's what the Soul studio on Mill Creek Blvd can hold, and the top of it is a physical limit — private rooms and the staff to run them, blocked together for one stretch of the day. Ten 60-minute Signature sessions come to $780 in cash, six come to $468, five to $390. Those figures are just $78 multiplied out, because head spa is priced per person and always has been. No group rate to negotiate. No bundle to ask about. It makes the money part of the conversation refreshingly short.

Soul opened here in 2021, in Ste 118 at 16300 Mill Creek Blvd, roughly five minutes from Town Center. This is the original studio, and groups found it early — birthday groups above all. The reason is unromantic: the Mill Creek studio runs 9:30 AM to 9:30 PM, seven days a week. Twelve hours. More open hours means more places to drop a block where six or eight people are simultaneously free, and that scheduling problem, not the price, is what usually kills a group plan.

Everyone in the party gets the full ritual, not a compressed version of it — the Milbon cleanse and scalp exfoliation, an unhurried massage that starts at the scalp and works down through the neck and shoulders, warm hydrotherapy at the basin, then the Dyson blow-dry with Moroccan oil that closes every Soul session. The reason a loud group goes quiet somewhere around the rinse is the same reason a solo guest does. NCCIH keeps a readable page on stress and how the body carries it, and Mayo Clinic's overview of relaxation techniques describes the slowed-breathing part better than any spa menu can. We make no health claims about scalp care. We do notice the group chat stops.

Logistics

The online calendar can't book eight of you so don't ask it to

Booking software sells one slot at a time. A group is a staffing decision — several rooms and several therapists, held in one continuous block, on a specific afternoon. Those are different problems, and only one of them can be solved by clicking. So call or text (425) 608-9019 and let the front desk build it by hand. Eight separate online bookings made in a row will not produce a group. They'll produce eight appointments scattered across the day, and somebody will end up sitting in the lobby for forty minutes.

Texting works better than calling, because the desk can answer between guests. Send it all in one message and you'll usually have a confirmed block back the same day:

  • How many people. Ten is the maximum served at once, and five is where a booking starts behaving like a group. Seven and up is where the scheduling actually gets tight.
  • Which ritual each guest wants. The 60-minute Signature at $78 cash, or one of the three 90-minute rituals at $135 cash.
  • A target start time — and your flex. "Anywhere between 1 and 3 on Saturday" gets booked faster than "2:15 or nothing."
  • Whether anyone has long, thick hair. Past chest-length and dense means the 90-minute Luxury, and the block has to make room for the longer session.
  • Any minors, and which adult is with them. Kids are welcome with a parent or guardian present.
  • Cash or card. Six paying cash is $468 and ten is $780. The same ten on cards is $880. The desk will give you the total before anything is locked.

How far ahead to ask

A few days, minimum. Two people can often land something the same week, but ten simultaneous rooms is the largest coordination ask at any Soul studio, and weekend afternoons go first — Saturday between noon and 4 is the single most requested window here. If the date is fixed because it's someone's actual birthday, treat a week of notice as the safe version. And know that the cancellation policy applies to the whole party, not per head: 24 hours' notice, 50% inside that window, 100% for a no-call no-show. Collect everyone's yes before you collect the booking.

What it costs

Head spa is priced per person, and that's the entire pricing story

This is the most common misunderstanding at the front desk, so here it is plainly: there is no group head spa package and no couples head spa package. Everyone pays the individual price of the ritual they choose. Two people booking Signatures pay 2 × $78 = $156 cash. Four pay $312. Six pay $468. A full party of ten pays $780. Cards add $10 a person at every headcount, which is the standing cash discount running in reverse.

Nobody in the group has to order the same thing, either. One guest can take the 60-minute Signature while another takes the 90-minute Deep Clean Scalp at $135 cash — the desk staggers the start times so everyone still finishes near each other. If you want the longer afternoon, the combos on the full price menu are also per person: Combo 5 runs a 60-minute massage into the 60-minute Signature for $153 cash, 120 minutes total.

Signature Head Spa, 60 minutes, at the per-person price, up to the ten-guest ceiling. Head spa has no group package rate — these are simply the individual prices added up.

The day itself

Come ten minutes early — all of you, not most of you

A group block starts together or it doesn't really start together. Ten minutes of buffer covers check-in, a quick word with each therapist about water temperature and pressure, and the one friend who circles the parking lot twice. Whoever arrives late doesn't push the whole schedule back; their own session gets shorter, because the block has a fixed end. Tell your party the arrival time, not the appointment time. It's a small lie that has saved a lot of birthdays.

Your party isn't out on an open floor. Treatments run in private rooms that nobody outside the group is sharing, so the only people around you are the ones you arrived with — and most groups talk through the first stretch of the hour. That's fine and normal. Phones off or silent is the one house request, and leaving jewelry at home makes the hour easier on everyone. Every session ends with a basic blow-dry, so nobody walks out with wet hair, but styling and curling aren't part of it. If your group is heading somewhere with a dress code afterward, plan on a brush-through.

Men and kids are both welcome, which surprises people who assume this is a women-only service. Shorter hair simply means more of the hour goes to the massage portion. Minors need a parent or guardian with them. And the standing Soul rule holds for every guest in the room: if anything feels off — pressure, water heat, anything at all — say stop, and there's no charge for the session. That policy exists so a first-timer can stop bracing and let the hour work.

Occasions

Birthdays are what this studio books more than anything else

The classic Mill Creek group is a birthday: four or five people, a Saturday afternoon block, and one organizer who has been herding the group text for a week. It works because a head spa is one of the few group activities where nobody has to be good at anything. No lanes to bowl, no menu to argue over. Everyone lies down at the same time and gets up an hour later looking better than they did.

Say when you book how the party plans to pay — one person covering the room, or everybody handling their own. It's a thirty-second question that saves five awkward minutes at checkout with eight people and one card reader. Square gift certificates are the other clean route: they work at all four studios, they can be bought in whatever amount you want, and $78 covers exactly one Signature session at the cash price. Five of them prepay a group of five outright.

Beyond birthdays, this room gets bridal-adjacent groups, out-of-town family who need something to do that isn't another restaurant, and small work teams treating it as the offsite. The mechanics don't change with the occasion — headcount, ritual, time. If you're planning around a specific date rather than a specific city, the group booking overview covers the whole family of studios, and the birthday spa party page goes deeper on the full-party version.

Getting here

A twelve-hour day is why group slots exist here at all

Weekday mornings are the sleeper window. Doors open at 9:30, and a 10 AM block for four is usually available with a couple of days' notice, while the same group on Saturday at 2 might need a week. Evenings hold up better than you'd think too — the last 60-minute Signature of the day can start at 8:30 and still finish before the 9:30 PM close. If your group's only overlap is after work, that's the hour to ask for.

The studio sits just off the Bothell-Everett Highway (SR 527), which puts a lot of south Snohomish County within a short drive: Bothell about 12 minutes, Everett's Silver Lake area 15, Lynnwood 15, and Snohomish roughly 20. Parking is free and right in front of the suite, which matters more for a group than a solo guest — eight cars, no garage, no meter, nobody texting "circling, be up in five."

If your people are spread out, compare hours before you compare distance. The Everett studio stays open until 10 PM and takes the same 5-to-10 party, which is the better call for a group coming off late shifts. For two guests rather than ten, the couples head spa page covers the two-person version of the same ritual, and the head spa menu runs identically at every Soul location.

Mill Creek FAQ

Good questions, straight answers

How many people can book a head spa together in Mill Creek?
A group of 5 to 10 guests at the same time. Ten is the ceiling at every Soul studio, including this one, because each guest needs a room and a therapist for the full session. Larger parties are usually split across two blocks — call (425) 608-9019 and the desk will tell you honestly what the day can hold.
Is there a group discount or package price?
No. Head spa is priced per person, so a group simply pays the individual prices added together — five 60-minute Signature sessions is 5 × $78 = $390 cash, six is $468, and ten is $780. The only discount that applies is the standing $10 off per service for paying cash, which every guest gets whether they come alone or with nine friends.
Can I book a group through the online calendar?
Not reliably. The online system books one slot at a time and can't hold several rooms plus the staff to run them in a single block, so eight separate bookings tend to land scattered across the day. Call or text (425) 608-9019 with your headcount, which ritual each person wants, and a target start time.
How far in advance should we book a group?
Give it a few days at minimum, and about a week if the date is fixed. Saturday afternoons between noon and 4 are the first slots to go at the Mill Creek studio. Weekday mornings after the 9:30 AM open are the easiest group window of the week, often bookable with only a day or two of notice.
What time should the group arrive?
Ten minutes before the block starts, everyone. That covers check-in and a short consult about pressure and water temperature with each therapist. A guest who arrives late doesn't delay the group — their own session just runs shorter, since the block has a fixed end time. Tell your friends the arrival time rather than the appointment time.
Can men and kids join a group head spa?
Yes to both. The ritual is identical regardless of hair length; shorter hair just means more of the session goes to the scalp, neck, and shoulder massage. Minors are welcome as long as a parent or guardian comes with them, which makes mixed-generation groups — grandmother, mother, teenager — a fairly common booking here.
Can gift certificates cover a group booking?
They can. Soul sells Square gift certificates that work at all four studios, and $78 covers one 60-minute Signature at the cash price. Buy several to cover a whole party, or one large certificate and let the organizer apply it. Mention the certificates when you book so the desk plans checkout accordingly.
