Why Everett
Ten PM is the only reason this date ever happens
Ten o'clock at night. That is when the Everett studio locks up, seven nights a week, and it is the single fact that turns a couples head spa from a nice idea into something you can actually get on a calendar. Most spa plans die the same quiet death: the only hours you are both free are evenings, and evenings are when everybody else closes. The Silver Lake studio at 10315 19th Ave SE Suite 108 is Soul's answer to that. Dinner at seven, two chairs at half past eight, home before eleven.
The practical limits are worth writing down. A pair of 60-minute Signature sessions can start as late as 9 PM and still finish inside the day. The 90-minute rituals need to begin by 8:30. Nothing about the evening slot is a lesser version of the service — same Milbon products, same therapists, same water. It is the same hour that people book at two in the afternoon, just after your obligations have run out.
Everett is the flagship of the family now, and the only Soul studio carrying a 4.8-star Google rating. Longtime locals still call it by the shorter name the business used before the head spa side took over. Across all four studios Soul has served more than 15,000 guests since 2021, and the late crowd here is a specific slice of that: second dates that ran long, couples who both worked past six, people who decided at 7:45 that the week had gone badly enough to warrant intervention.
The hour
What happens in the chair while neither of you says anything
Two stations, side by side, both starting at once. That is the whole shape of a couples head spa, and the room holding them is yours alone — Everett does not run two bookings in one treatment room, so the door closes on your pair the same way it does for a couples massage. Each station comes with a reclining chair and a hydrotherapy basin. The desk puts two therapists on them simultaneously, so you go under the warm water at the same moment and come out at the same moment.
The sequence is fixed and unhurried. A short consult about pressure and water temperature, a Milbon purifying shampoo cleanse, a detoxifying scalp exfoliation, the head-neck-shoulder massage, a conditioning treatment, the hydrotherapy rinse, and a blow-dry with Moroccan oil to close. On a late booking that last step earns its keep — you leave dry, warm, and not carrying a towel to the car in February.
The case for doing this at night
We make no claims about what a late session does to your sleep, and nobody at Soul is going to. What we can point at is the reading: NCCIH keeps an even-handed summary of complementary approaches and sleep, and their overview of mind and body practices covers the broader category this service sits inside. What guests report, over and over, is that they were asleep faster than usual. Take that for what it is worth, which is anecdote rather than evidence.
Which of the four rituals to take
The 60-minute Signature is the right default for most first pairs, and it fits the after-dinner window better than anything else. Move up to the 90-minute Luxury if either of you has long, thick hair — that ritual opens with a 30-minute upper-body massage before any scalp work begins, and it gives dense hair the cleanse-and-moisturize time the shorter session cannot. The Chinese Herb ritual adds herbal hydrotherapy and hair steam. Deep Clean Scalp is the one for hair that gets oily by day two or carries a lot of product.
The math
Per person. Every time. Here is the arithmetic
Soul does not sell a couples head spa package, because head spa is not priced that way at any of the four studios. Each guest pays their own menu price. Two 60-minute Signature sessions: $78 each, $156 cash for the two of you, $176 if you pay by card. Two 90-minute rituals, whichever pair you choose from Luxury, Chinese Herb, and Deep Clean Scalp: $135 each, $270 cash, $290 card. Multiply, do not look for a bundle. There isn't one to find.
Compare that honestly against the service that does have real two-person pricing. A 90-minute couples massage is $210 cash for both of you, which makes the equivalent pair of 90-minute head spa rituals $60 more. The gap is not a markup. A couples massage puts two people in one room with two therapists; two head spas mean two full stations, two hydrotherapy setups, and two complete rounds of Milbon product. The pricing follows what is actually being used.
Cash is the only lever, and it is a real one. Every service outside the combo packages is $10 less in cash, applied to each guest, so a two-person head spa booking saves $20 rather than $10. Gratuity is separate and there are two therapists, so plan for two. Nothing on the head spa menu changes based on how many of you walk in — same price for one guest, same price each for ten.
The choice
The evening question: hair or shoulders?
If you have one night and one budget, here is the split that actually decides it. Both bookings put you behind a closed door, so posture is the real variable. The couples massage room is horizontal, and it is the better pick when the point is to stop moving for an hour and let someone else work. The couples head spa is vertical, and it is the better pick when the evening continues after — because it is the only service on the menu that improves how you look on the way out.
There is also a comfort argument that nobody says out loud. Massage means undressing in a spa you have never been to, and for some people that is a bigger ask than the price tag. A head spa station asks for nothing but your head. That makes it the easier first spa visit for a nervous partner, and the easier gift for someone whose preferences you do not know well.
The evening upgrade worth knowing
Combo 4 stacks the 60-minute Signature Head Spa with a 30-minute Comfort Zone facial for 90 minutes at $138 cash. Per person, as always, so two of you comes to $276 cash. On a 10 PM close that combination still fits after a normal dinner if you start by 8:30. Combo 5 is the bigger version — a 60-minute full-body massage into the 60-minute Signature, 120 minutes for $153 a head. Both need a phone call rather than the online calendar when two people are booking them at once.
Book it
Text the desk, do not stack two online slots
Booking two separate sessions online and hoping they land next to each other is how couples end up at opposite ends of the studio. Setmore reserves one guest at a time. Adjacency is a human decision made at the desk, so make it a human request: call or text (425) 948-5868. Texting is genuinely the fastest route here, and the four things the desk needs are short.
Weeknight evenings at Everett are the most bookable two-person hours anywhere in the Soul family — 8 PM on a Wednesday is often available with same-day notice. Weekends behave like weekends, so give those a few days. Standard house rules apply: 24 hours of cancellation notice, 50% inside that window, the full amount for a no-show, and arrive about ten minutes early so the consult does not eat into your session. Square gift certificates cover any of this and work at all four studios. Everything else about the studio, including the map and parking, is on the Everett location page.
- The ritual — the 60-minute Signature, or which of the three 90-minute options
- That it is two guests, side by side, not two separate appointments
- A target start time, plus the latest start you could live with
- Anything about hair length or thickness the desk should plan around
Getting here
Fifteen minutes from Mukilteo, and the late shift knows it
Silver Lake sits between I-5 and SR 527, which brings most of the county inside a short drive: Mukilteo about 15 minutes, Marysville 15, Snohomish 15, Mill Creek 15, Lake Stevens closer to 20. For couples on opposite schedules — one coming off a Boeing shift, the other driving down from Marysville — the 10 PM close is usually the deciding fact rather than the drive time. No other Soul studio can start a pair of sessions at 9.
If your free hours run early instead, the Mill Creek studio opens at 9:30 AM and pairs neatly with brunch afterward. And when the party outgrows two people, Everett seats a group of five to ten for head spa at once, which is how the birthday and bridal groups get scheduled here — always by phone, always a few days out. The broader couples lineup covers every two-person booking across the four studios.
Dinner ends at eight. The water is warm by half past.
