Capacity

Five to ten guests, and ten is a real limit

A group of 5 to 10 head spa guests can be hosted at one Soul studio at the same time. Ten isn’t a rounded marketing figure. It’s how many rooms and therapists can be held together in one hour without the last person in your party starting forty minutes after the first. Above ten, the honest answer is two time blocks or two studios, and the front desk will say so on the phone rather than after you’ve paid.

That range applies to head spa specifically. Massage has a different shape here — treatment rooms are individual and the couples room holds exactly two tables, so ten simultaneous massages isn’t something any of the four studios can promise. Groups tend to land on head spa anyway. Everyone finishes within a few minutes of each other, and everyone walks out with dry, brushed hair rather than massage oil on their shoulders and a wrinkled shirt.

What a group is not doing is sitting in a row on a public salon floor. Every treatment here runs in a private room, and no other guest is put in it with you, so the party talks at the start and by the time the warm hydrotherapy rinse comes around most groups have gone quiet without deciding to. Each guest gets the same sequence — a Milbon purifying cleanse, a detoxifying scalp exfoliant, head, neck and shoulder massage, hydrotherapy, then a blow-dry with a Dyson and Moroccan hair oil — and each guest sets their own pressure and water temperature with their own therapist. The head spa hub breaks down all four rituals, and NCCIH keeps a readable summary of what massage therapy is and isn't if someone in your group is the skeptical one.

How to book

The online calendar cannot hold ten rooms

Group bookings go through a person, not a form. The reason is mechanical: an online calendar sells one appointment at a time, while a group needs several rooms plus the staff to run them, reserved together as a single block. Ten bookings made back to back on the website will not produce ten simultaneous sessions. They produce a staggered afternoon, and someone in your party ends up in reception with their phone out.

Call or text the studio and give the front desk three things: the service, the headcount, and the time you want to start. That’s the whole message. If nobody picks up — which happens, because hands are usually in someone’s hair — send those same three things by text and you’ll get an answer as soon as a therapist is free. The desk builds group schedules most weeks of the year, so it’s a far shorter conversation than people brace for.

Lead time scales with headcount. Two guests can often get a slot the same week, sometimes the same day on a weeknight. Five or more wants a few days. Ten on a Saturday is the heaviest scheduling ask at Soul, so give that a week when your date allows it. Bring your group’s firm commitments to the call rather than their maybes, because the cancellation terms apply to the booking as a whole: 24 hours’ notice, 50% inside that window, and a no-call no-show billed in full. Everything else about policies sits on the FAQ page.

Call or text

Four studios, four numbers

Say the service, the headcount, and your target time. Texting works as well as calling, and often better during a busy afternoon.

Mill Creek
Open daily 9:30 AM – 9:30 PM

The original studio, opened 2021. Earliest door in the family at 9:30 AM — the one to call for a morning group.

Everett
Open daily 10 AM – 10 PM

The flagship, rated 4.8 on Google, and open until 10 PM — the only studio that can start a group session in the evening.

Kirkland
Open daily 10 AM – 9:30 PM

The only Soul studio east of Lake Washington. About 15 minutes from Bellevue, Redmond, or Woodinville; roughly 5 from Juanita.

816 6th St S, Kirkland, WA 98033

Lynnwood
Open daily 10 AM – 9 PM

The newest studio, near Alderwood Mall. Books online through Fresha — but groups still go through the phone.

The online booking buttons are there for solo appointments. For anything from two guests upward, the phone is the shortcut — it reserves the stations and the staff in one move.

What it costs

The arithmetic, with nothing hiding in it

Head spa is priced per person. There is no group rate, no headcount tier, and no package that quietly appears at four guests. The 60-minute Signature Head Spa is $78 cash or $88 card per guest, and the total is the multiplication you would do yourself.

Signature Head Spa, 60 minutes, per person — group totals at cash and card prices, up to the ten-guest ceiling.
Guests Per person Cash total Card total
2 $78 cash / $88 card $156 $176
3 $78 cash / $88 card $234 $264
4 $78 cash / $88 card $312 $352
5 $78 cash / $88 card $390 $440
6 $78 cash / $88 card $468 $528
8 $78 cash / $88 card $624 $704
10 $78 cash / $88 card $780 $880

Two things move those numbers. Cash is the first — every ritual is $10 less when paid in cash, so a group of ten paying cash saves $100 against the card column. Tell your party before they arrive. The second is which ritual you pick: the three 90-minute rituals are $135 cash each, so ten of those come to $1,350 rather than $780. Most groups run the Signature and put the difference toward dinner.

Gratuity isn’t included and isn’t collected as a group — each guest tips their own therapist, and cash divides most cleanly. If one person in your party would rather stack services than match everyone else, Combo 4 pairs the Signature Head Spa with a 30-minute facial for $138 cash across 90 minutes, and Combo 5 pairs it with a 60-minute full-body massage for $153 cash across 120. Both run longer than the group block, so flag them on the call. Every price is on the services menu.

Who books it

Birthdays win, by a distance

Birthday groups are the single biggest category by a wide margin. After that come bridal parties booking the morning before a wedding, small team outings that somebody in HR organized, mother-and-daughter afternoons, and the dependable one — friends visiting from out of town who want a plan that isn’t another restaurant. More than 15,000 happy clients have come through the four Soul studios since 2021, and a real share of them arrived as a group.

Kids and teenagers are welcome with a parent or guardian present, which makes a three-generation booking straightforward to arrange. Mention ages on the call so each therapist plans a session that fits. Men book head spa at exactly the same rate as anyone else and get exactly the same ritual — shorter hair simply means more of the hour goes to the massage rather than the cleanse.

Paying for a group is its own small problem, and Square gift certificates solve it neatly. They work at all four studios, can be bought online in whatever amount you need, and let one person cover the room without doing arithmetic at the front desk while ten people put their coats back on. Order from the gift certificates page. And if the group turns out to be a pair after all, the couples hub covers both formats — including the private massage room for two, which is the one thing a group booking can’t give you.

On the day

Everyone arrives ten minutes early, or it doesn’t work

That’s the one instruction that decides whether a group session runs well. Sessions start together, and a late arrival shortens that guest’s own hour instead of pushing everyone else’s. Experienced organizers tell their group a time ten minutes before the real one. It is not subtle and it works every time.

What the hour is physically like: you spend a good part of it reclined at a basin with warm water running over your scalp, so hair goes in dry and comes out blow-dried. Styling isn’t part of the service. We dry your hair and finish it with oil, but we don’t curl or iron it, so build in your own minutes if the group is heading somewhere formal afterward. Anyone with hair past chest length and thick should take the 90-minute Luxury instead of the Signature, because an hour can’t cleanse and moisturize that much hair properly.

Phones go on silent, jewelry stays home, and if anything feels wrong at any point — water temperature, pressure, anything — say so and your therapist adjusts or stops, at no charge. There’s nothing mysterious about why a group leaves quieter than it arrived. NCCIH's material on mind and body practices and its overview of how stress shows up in the body describe the same unremarkable mechanism. Ten people, one hour, no phones. Whatever the occasion on the invitation said, that’s what actually happens.

Group Bookings FAQ

Group questions, answered by the front desk

How many people can you take at the same time?
A group of 5 to 10 head spa guests at one studio, in the same hour. Ten is the ceiling because rooms and staff have to be blocked together, so above ten the front desk will suggest two time blocks or two studios rather than promising something that ends up staggered. Massage is different — treatment rooms are individual and the couples room holds exactly two tables.
Are the rooms private?
Yes. Every treatment at Soul happens in a private room that is not shared with other guests, so a group is in with each other and nobody else. There is no open salon floor and no curtain between you and a stranger. Couples get a room with two tables and two therapists working at the same time.
Is there a group discount for head spa?
No. Head spa is priced per person at every headcount — the 60-minute Signature is $78 cash or $88 card each, so six guests is $468 cash and ten is $780. No package appears at five or ten people either. The only discount that exists is the standing cash price, which is $10 less per service, meaning a group of ten paying cash saves $100 against the card total.
Why can't we just book ten slots online ourselves?
Because an online calendar sells one appointment at a time and can't reserve multiple rooms plus the staff to run them as a single block. Ten separate bookings made in sequence usually produce a staggered afternoon rather than ten simultaneous sessions. Call or text the studio with the service, the headcount, and your target start time, and the desk builds it as one reservation.
How far ahead should a group book?
Two guests can often land a slot the same week, sometimes the same day on a weeknight. Five or more needs a few days. Eight or ten on a Saturday is the heaviest scheduling ask at Soul, so give that a week if your date allows. Collect firm commitments from your party before you call — the cancellation terms apply to the whole booking, not per guest.
Can we bring teenagers or kids?
Yes — minors are welcome at all four studios as long as a parent or guardian is present, which a group booking generally satisfies on its own. Mention ages when you call so each therapist plans an appropriate session. Mother-and-daughter afternoons and multi-generation birthday groups are a regular part of the week here.
Can one person pay for the whole group?
Easily. Square gift certificates work at all four studios and can be bought online in any amount, which is the tidiest way to cover a group of ten without doing arithmetic at the front desk while everyone puts their coats on. Otherwise the desk can take one payment for the party — say so when you book. Gratuity stays separate, and each guest tips their own therapist.
