The case
Ten guests, $780 in cash, and everyone's hair is dry by dinner
Ten is the ceiling and $78 cash is the per-person price, so a full bachelorette party at the Kirkland studio comes to $780. A party of six is $468, a party of five $390. That is the whole number in every case. There is no group rate to negotiate and no party package to ask about — head spa at Soul is priced per guest, and ten people booking the 60-minute Signature is $78 ten times. What that buys is an hour of scalp work each, in private rooms nobody outside the party is sitting in, and a blow-dry at the end so nobody walks into a Kirkland parking lot with wet hair in March.
The bachelorette brunch has a well-documented failure mode. It is excellent for three hours and expensive for the following twenty-four, and if the wedding or the photos happen the next morning, that trade gets harder to defend. A head spa costs roughly what brunch and a couple of rounds cost. It takes an hour. Everyone leaves with clean hair and shoulders that have stopped living up around their ears, rather than an afternoon they need to sleep off. Have the brunch on a different weekend.
None of this is medical and we will not pretend otherwise. The relaxation half of the argument does have honest sources behind it — NCCIH's overview of stress and what it does to the body is a five-minute read, and the American Massage Therapy Association's position that massage can improve health and wellness is about as carefully worded as the industry gets. The bride's version is shorter. She has been holding a hundred details in her head for months, and for sixty minutes somebody else holds her head.
The math
Head spa is priced per person. There is no party price
Worth being blunt here, because plenty of venues in this category quote a flat party rate and then add per-head fees underneath it. Soul has no party package at all. The 60-minute Signature Head Spa is $78 cash or $88 card, and that is what one guest pays whether she comes alone or brings five friends. Multiply by the headcount and you have the total. Nothing gets tacked on afterward for the group, the room, or the occasion.
| Guests | Cash total | Card total | Per person |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | $156 | $176 | $78 cash |
| 3 | $234 | $264 | $78 cash |
| 4 | $312 | $352 | $78 cash |
| 5 | $390 | $440 | $78 cash |
| 6 | $468 | $528 | $78 cash |
| 8 | $624 | $704 | $78 cash |
| 10 | $780 | $880 | $78 cash |
Ten is a capacity, not a suggestion
Each guest needs a room and a therapist, and ten is how many the Kirkland studio can run at the same moment. A party of thirteen does not fit into one wave. It can still work as two staggered waves an hour apart, or as eight guests at head spa stations while two take the private couples massage room next door — that room holds exactly two, at $150 cash for the pair. Call with your real headcount and the front desk will build the shape that fits it.
If the bride wants something longer
The three 90-minute rituals run $135 cash each, and the Luxury opens with a half-hour upper-body massage before any scalp work begins. Putting the bride on a 90 while the party takes the 60-minute Signature is a lovely gesture with one practical consequence: she finishes half an hour after everyone else. Either build the gap into the plan or put the whole party on the same length. If her hair is past chest-length and thick, the Luxury is the right call regardless — a 60-minute session cannot deep-cleanse and moisturize that much hair properly.
Timing
Every session ends with a blow-dry. It does not end with a hairstyle
Say it out loud to the group chat before anyone books, because this is where expectations go sideways. Head spa includes a basic blow-dry with a Dyson dryer and nourishing Moroccan hair oil. It does not include curling, an updo, or anything a stylist would call finished. Guests leave dry, clean, and soft — not camera-ready in the way a blowout bar means camera-ready.
Which points at the timing. The day before the wedding is the sweet spot: hair gets a real cleanse, everyone has an unhurried hour, and whoever is doing hair the next morning is working with a clean canvas. Mention the head spa to that person, since freshly cleansed hair behaves differently from third-day hair and they will want to plan for it. Two hours before a ceremony, on the other hand, is a scheduling decision you will regret. And if the whole party would rather have the scalp work after the wedding, that also works beautifully — the Kirkland studio runs until 9:30 PM daily, which makes a post-rehearsal-dinner session at 7:30 completely reasonable.
Getting there
The only Soul studio east of the lake, which is why this works at all
Bridal parties arrive from every direction at once. That is the actual logistical problem, and Kirkland solves more of it than any other studio in the family because it is the only one east of Lake Washington. From Juanita it is about five minutes. Totem Lake is roughly eight. Bellevue, Redmond, Woodinville, and Bothell all sit around fifteen. Nobody in the party has to cross a bridge, and the maid of honor coming from Redmond and the cousin coming from Bothell arrive within a few minutes of each other.
The studio is at 816 6th St S, with free parking at the building. That does quiet work on the schedule: a party can arrive at 4, leave the cars where they are, sit down for the 5:30 appointment block, and be at dinner by 7 without anyone moving a vehicle twice. If you are comparing what the Eastside offers more broadly before committing the party to a plan, the Eastside head spa rundown covers the same studio from the Bellevue and Redmond angle.
Book it
Parties book by phone. The online calendar cannot hold ten
Do not book ten separate online slots and hope they cluster. A group booking means blocking multiple rooms and multiple therapists into the same window, and that is a human decision the calendar widget cannot make. Call or text (425) 345-3139 with three things: the headcount, the service, and a target start time. The desk confirms the block. The mechanics behind that, including how larger parties get split into waves, are laid out on the group bookings page.
Lead time scales with the group. Two people can often land a slot the same week. Ten simultaneous rooms is the most staff coordination anything at Soul requires, so give a Saturday several days at minimum and more if the date is fixed. Then know the cancellation math, because it applies to the whole party rather than to each guest separately: 24 hours' notice, a 50% fee inside that window, the full amount for a no-show. Collect actual commitments from the group before you collect a booking. On payment, cash takes $10 off each guest — $100 across ten — and everybody can pay their own way at the desk. Bridesmaids who want to cover the bride's session can also just buy a Square gift certificate beforehand.
Make a day of it
What to do with the other four hours in Kirkland
An hour of head spa is a centerpiece, not a whole day. Parking at the building is free, so the party can leave the cars there and let the rest of the afternoon and dinner afterward happen around the appointment. If two members of the party want something different from the rest, the couples room is right there — everything Soul runs side by side is collected on the couples page, and the Kirkland couples head spa page covers the two-person version of scalp care, which is simply $78 twice.
One last suggestion from parties that have done this well: put the head spa at the end of the itinerary rather than the start. Shopping, photos, and lunch all leave hair in worse shape than they found it, and finishing on the scalp treatment sends everyone home clean instead of sending them to the next stop with oil in their hair. For a fuller picture of what this studio does beyond group afternoons, the Kirkland head spa overview walks through all four rituals.
She has been holding a hundred details for months. For an hour, someone else holds her head.
